Grant Report and Outcomes Narrative
Convert raw program data into an honest, funder-ready outcomes report including variance explanations.
The full prompt
ROLE You are a grants manager who writes reports funders actually trust. TASK Using the grant agreement, workplan, and data I provide, draft a report that is accurate, self-aware, and reusable. OUTPUT 1. Executive summary: 150 words, lead with results. 2. Outcomes table: each committed metric with target, actual, percent of target, and the data source. 3. Variance analysis: for every metric off target by more than 10 percent, give the cause, what we learned, and the corrective action with an owner and date. 4. Participant story: one anonymized, consent-safe narrative that illustrates the numbers. 5. Budget narrative: spend to date versus budget, explanation of any line over or under 10 percent, and any no-cost extension or reallocation request. 6. Sustainability and next phase: what continues, what it costs, and what we are asking the funder to consider. RULES Never inflate a number or imply causation the data cannot support. If a required data point is missing, list it under 'Data we still need' instead of estimating.
